PowerFolder at SCCON 2026: new impulses for sovereign collaboration
For us, the Smart Country Convention 2026 in Berlin was all about digital sovereignty and open platforms. Many conversations made one thing clear: sovereign IT does not need the next monolith, it needs strong, interchangeable components and open standards.

openDesk. With ZenDiS we discussed how PowerFolder fits into the sovereign digital workplace as a specialised component for files, sync, share and storage. We bring the technical groundwork for that — from OpenID Connect and LDAP through WebDAV and WOPI to Kubernetes and Helm. We also took away a number of concrete requirements, which will feed into further development. A follow-up meeting is arranged.
OpenProject. We met the project and task management of openDesk right at the show. Afterwards we started the technical exchange on connecting PowerFolder as an external file storage provider. For customers that would mean one more choice of files platform — independently of openDesk as well.
STACKIT. We deepened our conversations with the Schwarz Group, and PowerFolder is now in ISV onboarding. Since STACKIT was named the first approved sovereign service provider for openDesk, several developments converge here: sovereign cloud infrastructure, a modular digital workplace and specialised software components.
Our direction remains clear: more open interfaces and additional integrations. What stays untouched is that you decide where your data sits and how PowerFolder is operated. Because digital sovereignty also means a real choice.
