    New Features

    • Sever ZIP-file distribution now contains the compatible client version (Windows Installer EXE and JAR file). Please use this version for client deployment.
    • Simplified client deployment: Clients can now read a configuration file via HTTP from the server (or any other webserver) to pre-configure the server connection, all client program weblinks and the network ID. (screenshot)
    • Online client activation: Users can now retrieve the license key online and activate the client program. Simply assign one or more license key files to the user via the Server admin console.
    • New privacy option "Network ID": PowerFolder now is able to maintain separated peer-to-peer networks. This is done by adding a network ID setting to the server config file. This prevents to show up foreign users from the PowerFolder network, e.g. under "Find Friends".

    Improvements

    • Completely reworked web interface. It offers basic branding options: Customized header icons and page titles. Simply replace the logo file in the server maintenance folder.
    • Better naming of folder-directories on server side. Names are not longer random hashsums, but reflect the real names of the folders. Name conflicts are gracefully handled.
