Preface
This article gives an overview of the PowerFolder Server - the core component of the PowerFolder Cloud Solutions. You'll find general infos and documentation, which explains how to set it up. The package is available as complete product since 28-Apr-2008. Contact us for trial, demo and/or questions.
We offer different packages of PowerFolder Server in our shop.

- File Archive: Access and restore previously versions of edited or deleted files.
- Full branding options: Program interface, installer and web interface - All in your own look.
- Easy client deployment: Auto-configuration of server connection and online license key activation.
- Admin console: Manage your PowerFolder network from a built-in administration console.
- Account management: Add, edit and remove users.
- Quota/Storage package limits per user with time limit.
- Reporting functionality: Storage usage reports (CSV, Excel).
- Works via Internet, LAN or VPN. Tunnels traffic via HTTP if necessary.
- Clustering: Cluster multiple servers for high-availability (HA) or load balancing.
- Linux, Windows and Mac OS X (at least 10.5) supported.
- Basic monitoring functions: Transfer log and Email notifications.
On the roadmap
- More mail and RSS Monitoring options: Get informed on certain events (File transfer, connect/disconnects, etc.pp.)
- Groups to easily control permissions of many users.
- LDAP and Active Directory integration.
Full roadmap - planned new features and improvements.
Minimum requirements
- Linux, Windows or Mac OS X with Java Runtime Edition 6.0 (Update 11 or higher, JDK 1.6.0_11).
- At least 512MB memory (1GB recommended).
- Firewall that allows inbound TCP connections on port 1337 and web interface port (e.g. 80 or 8080)
- Recommended: Fix DNS hostname, fix IP or at least a DynDNS.
