Scheduled synchronization

From PowerFolder Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

To synchronize your PowerFolders at a certain time:

  • Start PowerFolder on the computer, that should upload file changes at a certain time (=source computer).
  • Select the Folder you want to schedule the synchronization for.
  • Go to the settings tab and click on the new button/icon next to the transfer mode selector.
  • Modify the change detection to "daily synchronization"
  • Choose the weekday(s) and hour when the synchronization should start (e.g. 4 am weekdays).
  • Click Save.
  • PowerFolder will now scan the local directory for changes on the configured day(s)/hour and shares the found file changes to all other members/computers of the folder.

NOTE: The other computers need to have a transfer mode set, that auto-downloads and auto-syncs remote deletions (optional).

Recommended transfer modes for the "target" computers:

  • Automatic Synchronization
  • Backup (target)
  • Auto-Download
