Relayed Connections

From PowerFolder Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

This feature makes it possible to use PowerFolder without configure your router and firewall, but requires a connection to the PowerFolder server. Both computers need to have relayed connection activated to make it work (enabled by default). Most routers and firewalls allow outgoing connections and responses from the computer which was contacted. A relayed connection is established from both sides to our server. The server connects both computers making it possible to transfer data even if no incoming connections are allowed.

PowerFolder is not able to override software firewalls like Kaspersky.
