Encrypted transfers

PowerFolder Pro encrypts all connections if it is connected with other Pro nodes. You can select how much encryption you need. Higher encryption needs slightly more resources. If you run a mixed setup (Pro and Basic clients) you need to reduce the encryption level to low. Only in this mode PowerFolder Pro is able to connect to the Basic version, which is unencrypted.

Http tunneled connections

Direct connection

If no connection to the Internet is possible PowerFolder Pro will automatically try to connect to the Internet via port 80 which is the standard port for browsers. So you are able to use PowerFolder if you can browse in the Internet.

Proxy setup

If you want to use a Proxy Server to route your PowerFolder connections here you can enter the necessary data.

System Service

If you want to run PowerFolder without GUI in the background. You need to install the System service, this is currently only possible on Windows systems. Please make sure that you enabled "Automatically find a port" under Network if you want to start the GUI.
