Preface
The extended security control is an option to give administrator fine-graded central control of the features accessible for users at the client and web-portal. It is possible to centrally disable certain features for clients such as for example opening/changing the preferences or permit the creation of new synced folders. These settings depend on the user, that is logged in.
Setup
The extended security control can be enabled in the server admin console (preferences) or in the server configuration file by adding the following line:
security.permissions.strict=true
Options
- Adds more fine graded permissions for user accounts (Server admin console)
- Adds possibility to set a user account valid from date. Data access is denied before that date.
- Removes folders on local computer if permission of user account is revoked.
