Warn on close of program if a folder is still syncing

If you want to be sure that PowerFolder is finished syncing when you shutdown your computer, check this box. This feature was created to make sure that a backup is finished before quitting PowerFolder.

Warn on limited connectivity

You will be informed if PowerFolder does not get any incoming connections. With NAT traversal and relayed connections activated, this will be a very rare problem. If it occurs you will see a warning icon in the lower left corner of the main window.

Warn on possible file name problems

Different systems have different sensitivities for case problems in filenames. 'PowerFolder' is for Linux another name than 'powerfolder'. For Windows it is the same. PowerFolder will warn if there are possible conflicts:

• Sync anyways - will take the file with the latest change date and overwrite the older one
• Rename - rename one file to solve the conflict
• Do nothing - don't sync/don't rename/don't overwrite

Ask to add to computers list if a computer becomes member of a folder

PowerFolder will ask you if you want to add new folder members to your known computers list if this setting is activated.

Ask to add personal message for connections

This setting makes it possible to add some short personal message to invitations.

Show notification of autocreated folders

PowerFolder will automatically create managed folders from any directories it finds in the base folder directory. If this checkbox is checked, then if a folder is automatically created, PowerFolder will display create a notification.

Warn if changing a transfer mode for multiple folders

Transfer modes determine how PowerFolder synchronizes folders. These transfer modes can be edited or deleted. If this checkbox is checked, then if more than one folder uses a specific transfer mode, and this transfer mode is edited or deleted, a warning will be displayed, advising of the usage.

Warn if connection quality is poor

PowerFolder can detect a number of connection problems. If this checkbox is checked, connections problems will be reported.

Notifications

PowerFolder shows notifications of chat messages as well as a number of system messages.

Show chat notifications when minimized

If this checkbox is checked, chat notifications will be displayed when the main window is minimized.

Show chat message in notification area

(Verions 5.1) If this checkbox is checked, chat message text will be displayed in the chat notification popup.

Show system notifications when minimized

If this checkbox is checked, system notifications will be displayed when the main window is minimized.

Translucency

This sliders determines the translucency of chat and system notifications.

Delay

This slider determines the amount of time a notification remains on view.

Preview

This button displays a preview of a button with the configured translucency and delay.
