Debug log
From PowerFolder Wiki
PowerFolder is able to create detailed debug log files. Below you will find a description how to activate this option.
- "Enable debug logging" under "Advanced settings". Make sure you have enabled "Show advanced options" under "General" to access that option.
- Run PowerFolder and let the problem occur at least once.
- Press "send logs" in the debug panel (small red bug button of the main window)
- Please use your favorite packaging program (e.g. zip, rar) to compress the whole debug directory.
- Submit a ticket and attach the debug logs with a detailed problem description. Please don't forget to mention the name of affected files if applicable.
- Disable the debug logging afterwards.
Windows Vista only: Please make sure that you are executing PowerFolder as an Admin or disable Vista UAC.
Troubleshooting
If you are not able to open the preferences or if PowerFolder does not start at all please edit the configuration file and add the following line to enable debug logging:
verbose=true
