PowerFolder is seeking for a INTERESTED and talented developer who
will implement new features and fix bugs in various parts of the application.

PowerFolder offers a fun, creative, and technically challenging environment, which is supported by a team working hard to improve the program for a
constantly growing user community and public interest.

Responsibilities:

• Implementation of new features.
• Maintenance of existing application code including bugxfixing and refactorings.
• Participation in QA for the PowerFolder application.

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge in the areas of Java networking, file
• handling and Swing.
• Experienced with Eclispe IDE and in working with Subversion.
• Strong communication skills.
•  Professional attitude.
• Reliability, availability at release dates.
• Good English language skills.
• Excellent team-working skills.
• Excellent autonomy.
• A strong motivation and a high level of commitment are required.

Plusses:

• Experience with Java development for other platforms like Linux, Mac OS, etc.

Please read those requirements carefully, we only accept applies from those who really want to help creating an excellent program, which is stable and easy to handle for end users. Additionally you should be able to create clean and good documented code.

Furthermore you should be aware of the fact that the whole team invests a part of their free time to this project. We expect you to offer a reasonable amount of your free time to the team. Before applying you should think about if you have the time to invest in this project. We don't expect anyone to handle this project priority to private or work life, but at least a couple of hours per month should be the minimum.

SUGAR: We payout developers for their work on the open source part of PowerFolder for every new released version of PowerFolder.

NOTE: Our source code is maintained on an own SVN server with public access.

Wednesday 09. of April 2008 Online Storage server downtime for maintenance

Due to a grown userbase we are currently extending our server infrastructure.

The Online Storage servers will be down from 9. April 2008 22.30 CET till about 10. April 2008 02.00 CET.

UPDATE: The servers are now already up and running again.
