View Full Version : Closed Using Win-XP is PowerFolders setup global, or per user?

I'm running PowerFolder in Windows-XP, and some strange things are happening. I set up everything to synchronise properly, then a little later I find that some of the computers are not synchronising. They seem to have forgotten their settings.

Are PowerFolder synchronisation settings global to a computer, or are there different settings for each user? If, for example, I log on as administrator, install PowerFolder, and set it to synchronise to a folder that I've shared on another computer, then I log off, is PowerFolder still running, and synchronising files?
If I now log on as a different user, is PowerFolder still running? Is it still synchronising the same files to the same location? If I now set to synchronise another folder, does this apply to all users of this computer, or just to me?

Thanks - Rowan

A bit more information:

I have one folder currently containing 50 files totalling 42Mb. They originated on computer FOODTOYOU_K11. Some of the files are changing every minute or so. The files are backed up to my PowerFolder account, and these are up-to-date within a few minutes. I have computer ROWANB syncing to this folder, and these files too are up-to-date. I also have computer MPC_03 syncing to this folder, but on this computer, although it says "Estimated synchronized: Today 23:35" (which is about now), the most recent file in the synced directory is dated today at 18:40. Also it says it's only 60.964% synchronized.

Why is this computer not synchronising properly?
