Hello!

How are you?

(As I said before) we are using PF during the night. We start it and close it with windows Schedule.

As we close forcefully, it always closes during uploads/downloads. The managers are complaining that when the program is closed during a sync process, it won't never sync those cancelled files again. Do you recognize this behavior?

Another thing is that I configured 512MB of memory in one of the servers but it is till asking for more. Does it really need all that memory?

The managers also are insecure about transfer rate. Our servers are capable to share files at 2GB/h but sometimes looks like it's sharing much slower. The PF network ports are open, but how can I know if they have direct connection or they're using a bridge?

Thanks in advance

Dear Eric

PowerFolder is permanently retring to download files which have been stopped and PowerFolder is able to even download missing parts from other sources in your folder.
but it cannot download files which are in use. If you are insecure please send us debug logs.

The memory size is depending 100% of the number of files you have managed by PowerFolder. If you have a lot of files Powerfolder needs more memory.

The connection speed is lower with small files since the processing takes some time.
You can see if the traffic is relayed if you switch on the debug mode and click on a user in your friendlist, there should be a line named: esconnection if you see this it means its not relayed.

Hello,

In case you don't run PowerFolder as system service (http://www.powerfolder.com/wiki/System_Service):

Please try to stop PowerFolder gracefully with the following command line:

PowerFolder.exe -k

Best regards,
Christian

How do I start powerfolder as a service?

If I use it as a service, how can I know if it requires more memory?
