invitation by powerfolder

I don't have email set up on one of the computers I wish to share a powerfolder with, so I set up a folder on that machine, and chose to send the invitation later, and sent it via powerfolder.

But when I went to the other computer I didn't see any way to find the invitation, and I can't find documentation on how sending an invitation by powerfolder is supposed to work.

Any help?

In the current version 3.1.10 both computers need to be online to send an invite, after sending an invite a popup will show up on the computer you wish to invite.


Another solution (additional to the 3 option we have in the client) would be an option if you backup a folder on the online storage, you can send invites from there also.

Hmm... made an invite this morning, saved it to a powerfolder share that the 2nd machine was a member of, then tried to sync when I got to the laptop...

But although it said it joined the powerfolder, when I click on it, it says no other computer connected, and won't sync.

Will have to try again, not sure what I did wrong.

good news... had limited connectivity on the other machine which why I couldn't connect... once I had better connectivity it started to work.
