it's at 99.4% or something, and i don't know why, but between 3 machines, there are different file counts for one of the folders, and it will never complete the sync. any ideas?

really? nothing? i have 1 folder that has 15538 files on 1 machine, 15524 on another, and 15539 on a third, and they won't sync any further, and i have no idea why, nor what files are not syncing

the 15524 says 100% complete, the other 2 say 99.65%, and i don't know whats going on

This is an know issue when syncing folders with containing Thumbs.db or similar meta-data files.

Currently only the the computer, that created the folder, has the correct ignore patterns set by default. The computers accepting the invitation / taking part in the synchronization don't have these patterns added by default. That's the reason why these computers show 1) more number of files and 2) never reach 100%.

-> This does NOT affect the actual synchronization and is only a display issue.

Workaround: Make sure all computers have the following ignore patterns:
1: *thumbs.db
2: *~*.tmp

We will fix this in further versions of PowerFolder.
Best regards,
Christian

I have a similar problem, whereby the Sync does not go beyond 98.97% for both computers. I have added the ignore patterns, but this does not seem to help.

The folders and files that are not syncing appear in grey in the second computer.

My first computer is PC, and the second a mac.

Any further clues?

Thanks.

You might try to add
.DS_Store
to your ignore list.
