I'd like to have a server in one of our offices that is the parent server and my other office have a read only server of the parent. Basically, I want them to have "real-time" access to folders but not be able to change them. Is this possible with PowerFolder?

Thanks.

Dear GollyJer

You can set on every Computer how he should behave locally.

For your scenario:

The computer who should not download files from other should be set to transfer mode: Backup Source or Share/Send.
The other server which should work as a copy (I hope I got this right) should be set to Backup Target. You can find all transfer modes here:

http://wiki.powerfolder.com/wiki/Transfer_Modes

You also can change all transfer modes to the time interval you would like to have (1 sec is minimum).

To do so go to the settings tab of a Folder and press "create"
Enter a name for your own mode
Select a mode as base (leave the next four checkboxes untouched they are changing the general behavior of the mode)
Set the timing settings as you wish
Save the mode (you can use it on other folders on this computer).

I hope that helps you if you have more questions or I got you wrong please get contact us (Email is faster than forum).
Best regards
