Hi,
I'm currently testing PowerFolder and installed it on a linux machine (Debian). The service runs, but I can't connect to the web interface. 'netstat -an' shows, that nothing is listening on port 80.
Am I doing something wrong?
Michael
Dear mkretz
Did you setup the webinterface with dyndns or do you have an fixed ip?
otherwise you will be only able to access it under http://localhost.

rutkowsky,
the machine gets a dynamic ip address, though the dhcp server always leases the same ip address. I just downloaded the PowerFolder.jar und put it into ~/powerfolder together with the start/stop-script and the license file. Is there anything else I have to do to setup the webinterface?
Michael
Ah you are using Linux without a GUI?
http://wiki.powerfolder.com/wiki/Setup_of_a_Linux_server_in_console_mode
Please see the configuration and the suppoints 1./2./3.
you need to go to preferences/pro_settings/webinterface and enter your data there

Who needs a GUI with Linux??? ;-)
That steps seem to be quite tricky. I'll have a try ... Thanks for your help!
Ásk the ubuntu users:D its so much easier to use open office with an gui
Its tricky if you have no gui computer at all:
But you can do that steps on a mac(if you can see hidden files) or a windows computer simply make it work set it ip like you want and copy the config.
