I have tried to install Powerfolder Pro onto a Vista x64 running JRE 6 update 7 and i get an error when i attempt to open Powerfolder that states I need JRE 6 update 6 i think (1.6.0_06). I read posts about deleting setting files in XP, but where would they be located in Vista?
Dear Nmarconi
I am running java 6 update 7 on vista 64 and have no problems. Did you check your java version on www.java.com?

Yes, I have checked it on the website and have checked it via the icon in my taskbar. I installed Powerfolder via the install file into my program files (x86) folder. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it - same problem still.

hello? Anybody able to help me get powerfolder running?
Yes sorry
You are running PowerFolder 3.1.2 with java included (do you use the java version which was attached to PowerFolder?
did you try to reinstall without reinstalling it first?
Please also note email requests are always handled with higher priority

Sorry do you mean did i try to reinstall before i uninstalled it? No, I uninstalled it, then attempted to reinstall it. Thanks for the heads up on email support - i didnt mean to seem impatient, I'm just excited to get powerfolder pro up and running!
No its our mistake we just oversaw your message and we should not try to make it better by pointing at email we offer this service we should not make you feel uncomfortable to demand it. We are sorry for this. Now the probelm is that we have to get you up running an i have only one solution for this problem which might work:
We will send you an previous version of powerfolder to check if there is an general problem with your java and powerfolder or only with the current version. Please send us an email so we can send you the download links for this versions.
