I am using v3.1.2
Under Preferences, I have activated the Pro Setting filelist writer.

How do I make PF write the csv files, or is this done automatically when I activate filelist writer? If so, where do I find the csv files?

Edit- I see that one of my shared folders now has a csv file added.
Edit2 - further csv file lists have appeared. They appear to be slowly being added.

Edit3
Questions
1) - Are these files dynamic, ie updated by PF - if so at what interval?
2) - if so, how do I know if the file is updated?

So far, filelist.csv files have appeared in 3 out of 7 shared folders.
Why not 7 out of 7?

Could you tell me on which Operating system this occurs?
And on which location are this folders stored? Under vista programs are not allowed to create files in certain areas of the the filesystem.

Hi
I'm using XP SP2 and the filelist.csv files are appearing in the root directory of the shared folder tree , ie the highest folder level in the share.

Dear Horizon
The question was more: Location on the hard drive: E.g. c:/programfiles is restricted for creating new files.

Just for a test could you copy one of the csv files from another directory in one of the folders you cannot create CSV files in and update that folder? And check if the csv gets modified and displays the current content of the folder. Also could you send us your main log file so we check whats going on.1.Go to Settings/advanced and enable debug logging.
2.Restart PowerFolder
3.Let it run and recreate the behavior which you want us to check.
4.Quit a few seconds later.(30-60)
5.Go to your PowerFolder installation path /debug.
6.Take the PowerFolder.log file and send it to us.

The shared folders are subdirectories of My Documents under my username in XP.

I copied a csv file from one Share to a Share that did not have a csv file. I then hit Sync Now on that folder. No change to the csv file. It still lists files from the previous directory only.

I'll look at recording a log for sending shortly.
