Hello,

I've just installed and set up Power Folder and am attempting to send an invite via email. However, filling in the necessary information and clicking the "Next" button, nothing appears to happen and no mail is sent or received.

Here are my steps:

1) Click "Send Invitation" button

2) Enter text in "Enter a Message for the Receiver" textbox

3) Click "Send by Email" radio button

4) Enter an e-mail address in the "Enter Email of Recipients" textbox

5) Click the "Add me as CC Recipient" checkbox

6) Click "NEXT".

Again, after filling in the necessary information and clicking "NEXT", no email is received by the receiver and I do not receive a CC email. I've checked the Wiki, forum and general documentation and cannot find anything which addresses this issue.

Am I doing this correctly?

Is there something wrong with the "Send Invitation" process on your end?

How do I resolve this issue?

Thanks!!

Dear Ave
It might be that this is some bug
we are very sorry and we will try to check this as soon as possible.
Please try to use on of the other ways (save as file and than send manually /directly via PowerFolder).

Thank you very much for that information.
Best regards

Thanks for the reply -

I have one question regarding the sending of invitation files manually. Specifically, after I create the invitation file and then attach it to an email message, the receiver opens the Power Folder invitation attachment and is then not able to open the file. There is no program associated with the file - because the end user is not able to open a Power Folder file without Power Folder being installed on his system.

I might be wrong, but i'm under the impression that an invitee does not have to have Power Folder installed on his local machine in order to use it. Clicking an invitation file should be enough to install simple client tools in which to synch to my folder - am I incorrect?

Probably a dumb question but I need to verify.

Thanks!!

The problem is even so we have a webstart version of PowerFolder,we did not link the invitation with it. You need to have PowerFolder installed. There is an ticket existing for that but its not ready yet.
