I'm running V3.02 Pro.
When I hit the 'check for updates' button it reports:

This version is up to date.

Why doesn't it update to V3.1 Pro?
How do I update to V3.1 Pro?

There will be an automatic update soon with the upcoming 3.1.1.
you can update manually by simply download the 3.1 from our download page and reinstall it without uninstall it first.

I just did the update to 3.1.1

How do I confirm that the software has registered properly?
I don't want it bombing out in 30 days thinking it's a trial version.

The license key activation problem has been fixed.
Please re-download PowerFolder 3.1.1 from:
http://www.powerfolder.com/download.html

and install it.
Your license key should now correctly activate by FILE ACTIVATION.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I went through the file registration process.
It's not clear to me when I re-open PF that my copy has registered - how can I confirm this?

Also, how do I change the date format in the file list to European (dd/mm/yyyy) instead of US?

The English (United Kingdom) language set uses dd/mm/yyyy date formats. This can be set in the General tab of the Preferences dialog.

Thanks. Hadn't thought of looking through the language setting. :D

I still don't understand how I can tell if my new install of PF has registered correctly.

I thought that in the previous install, when I looked into "Pro Settings" / "Power Folder Pro Loader", it used to show me my licence number entered? Or is my memory playing tricks?

How do I tell if my install is registered correctly and not counting down a 30 day trial?

Dear Horizon
I just tried:
-went to PowerFolder Loader
-Did not touch any of the settings
-clicked next
-found key

hope that helps

So the only way to see the key is to click next as if going through the registration process each time?

This is anti-intuitive.
Compare with other programs where you just click help/about and normally the registration key is then displayed.

Clicking 'next' implies invoking a process. It feels strange when I just want to see my expiry date.

That you for this feature request. We consider to display the activation information somewhere, e.g. About box.

PS: We also fixed several activation problems: http://www.powerfolder.com/news+M549dbebcd65.html
