Hi All
I have a problem upgrading from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 of the pro version
Either nothing happens, beside the page a powerfolder.com beeing opened, or i get the error: "NTVDM encountered a hard error"
This is the case on all machines, mix of 2003 and XP
I can see it creates a file in the temp folder: PowerFolder_Latest_Win32_Installer.exe, if i run this manualy i get the NTVDM error every time.
BTW
Where can i download the older versions of Pro, e.g. the 3.0.1 have only been giveing me problems where 3.0.0. was running pretty good.

Please describe the fix here in the forum; I ran into this problem, too.
hello did you tried tzo download the latest file and install it directly ?
Without deinstalling PowerFolder?
We will try to reproduce that problem and get back to you as fast as possible.

i could reproduce the problem we will check how to fix that but until than it should work if you manually download the file from you account and install it over the existing installation.
it worked on my systems.
Non the less we will send to the 3.0.0 version if you contact us at support(at)powerfolder(dot)com
just write 3.0.0 as title we will send you a link. (pro users only)

I ran into this myself yesterday. Running on 2003 Server PowerFolder prompted me that a new version was available and I made the upgrade.
Same thing, the splash screen displays but progress bar never reach the end and then splash times out and dissapear.
Only difference from the others is that the version upgraded was 3.0.0. What happened was that I was prompted about new version 3.0.1, but the actual version being downloaded by the updater was 3.0.2.
I will try to reinstall from file download as suggested.

It did not help.
I could not find a download for Pro, so Basic got installed. But same thing with the splash screen.
Please send me the 3.0.0 installer as well. I have only installer for 2.0 Pro laying around, all other versions has been installed using the updater.

Just wanted to say that I've had a very positive experience. Once David said that the problem should be fixed now, please try again, I did, and my system is working well.
(Well, there's still one "reporting" issue with the online storage, but Christian is aware of it. My main point is that the files are syncing correctly. I'm about to try running two instances of PF on one machine!)
