If Powerfolder is transferring a large file while the PC accidentally gets rebooted before the file has completed, does Powerfolder need to restart and retransmit that file from the very beginning again, or continue from where it left off?
Thanks, -Pete

Yes, PowerFolder continues to download the file where it was interrupted.

Example:
If you download a 100mb file and the computer crashes at 95mb PowerFolder continues to download the remaining 5 mb after restart.

I was curious because the upload progress meter for this file starts over at 0% again every time we reconnect. So, if what you say is true, then after we reconnect, this must mean the progress meter is actually indicating 0% the of the remaining untransferred amount, and not 0% of the entire file size?

I wished to verify because the currently transferring file is nearly 2GB, and the recipient's connection is intermittent, so I was hoping that Powerfolder wasn't starting over from the beginning of the 2GB file every time we reconnect.
Thanks,
-Pete

Is this a new file?
If yes, the resume function should get active.

Was the file updated?
Then the delta sync will take place, this always start with a first 0 to 100% progression to hash the file. Afterwards the transmission takes place, that is usually faster than the initial file copy.

Does the progress meter moves fast (=delta-sync hashing) or slow (=actual file transfer)?

I added it to the mirrored folder a few days ago, otherwise it has not been touched for days.
The progress meter moves very slowly, roughly 10% per hour progress (which seems about right since my powerfolder internet upload limit is set to 70kB/s). And, every time my nephew reboots/reconnects the progress meter appears to start over and slowly proceed upward again.
