Hi.
Here's where I'm at:
(a) have installed v. 3.0.1 on both my desk and lap top machines.
(b) have sucessfully set up online storage from the desk machine to your server.
(c) tried to sync my lap top. I would have thought that the laptop would simply grab all of the files from the online storage account (just over 4 GB). I know that this will take some good amount of time to download.
(d) when I sent an invitation from the desk machine to the laptop, not only did the download to the laptop begin from online storage, but also another round of uploads from the desk machine started happening to the desk machine. I did not expect this.
(e) shortly thereafter, I am informed that I have exceeded my online storage limit. I don't understand how this has happened, since the folder I have set up on my desk machine is just over 4 GB. I don't know why it's uploading more files.
(f) I know that you have a "display" problem with v. 3.0.1, and that you're planning on releasing v. 3.0.2. Is it this "display" problem that is causing this seeming "overload" of my online storage account? If not, what do I need to do to get rid of the excess files that have been accepted by your online storage? How do I identify the "duplicates"? Is it a matter that I have set up the invitation or the sync profile incorrectly (I'm just using the standard "mirror" profile in each computer).
Help!!
I really like the promise and potential of PowerFolder; it's just that it's taking a while for me to really grasp how it's supposed to operate.
Thanks for your patience and help.
