I'm having problems running PF pro on Mac OS X. If I download the jar file and run that, the process eventually freezes up, pushing cpu usage extremely high. However, if I do a webstart, it seems to work fine. Any insights on this behavior? Where, exactly, does webstart deposit the jar file that it downloads? Thanks.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm using 3.0.1.
May i ask which OS x you are using?
JAva is storing the Webstart Data in cache. The location can be different and depends on your Java installation.

I running Mac OS X v 10.5.2. I'm using whatever version of Java that comes with that version of Mac OS X. Is there any explanation for why running the "naked" jar would be different from running webstart?
The webstart is more optimzied for OS X. in installs the Cfg and other neccessary files. on load while the .jarneeds to create them later.
But i am not a MAC professional.
We will test the jar file more intense in the next days.
We will get back here if we found the reason for the problem.
sorry that i cannot give you anoter answer right now.
